Cheryl Carr is currently the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Bill Dunbar and Associates, LLC (BDA). BDA provides health care professionals and organizations the highest possible standard of health care consulting services with an emphasis on customized documentation and revenue strategies.

Cheryl offers over 25 years of experience in the healthcare field in Occupational Health and Urgent Care practice management, as well as practice management. Cheryl brings valuable insight and knowledge regarding leadership and management challenges faced by healthcare facilities around the country.

Beginning her career as an x-ray technician in an Urgent Care/Occupational Medicine facility, Cheryl developed an interest in the medical profession and converted this interest into a management position with a major Indiana Healthcare organization. Cheryl worked closely with the providers and management to streamline processes and improve overall communication. Having distinguished herself as a leader, in less than five years, Cheryl earned a fast-track promotion into Regional Director of eleven (11) medical practice sites in seven(7) different states.

Since 2001, Cheryl has played a major role for Bill Dunbar and Associates, LLC (BDA) as Chief Operating Officer. Her role as COO focuses on education and implementation of appropriate medical documentation and coding for BDA’s clients and the services provided while improving net revenue per visit. Cheryl has worked closely with the team at BDA to develop a proactive positive approach to client processes designed to improve net revenue and also focus on managed care issues, state workers’ comp fee schedules, regulatory compliance and ACO preparedness relating to risk acuity.

Cheryl is a Certified Medical Coding Professional (CPC) through the American Academy of Professional Coders and a Certified Coding Specialist – Physician Based (CCS-P) through the American Health Information Management Association.
